Cousin Deke joins Benztown from his fortified compound outside of Dallas, Texas…  

Deke received his college degree in Philosophy – and – not having any luck in finding someone that was willing to “pay me to sit around and think about stuff” – he found his way into broadcasting…

Deke spent years at legendary WEBN-FM in Cincinnati, Ohio – working under the firm yet loving hand of Joel Moss – “Audio Architect to the Stars” – before setting off on his own to run the creative department for Clear Channel Dallas.  

Today – Deke can be heard as the voice of 700 WLW in Cincinnati – The Bull in Atlanta and St. Louis – 102/1 The Edge in Dallas – and over forty more stations around the world…  He’s done National Television and Radio Voice-Over for The Home Depot, Raytheon, Cici’s Pizza, Taco Bueno, The NFL, Frito-Lay, Pepsi, and many more…  

Deke has a versatile range that is just as suited for News/Talk as it is for CHR or Active/Alternative Rock…  Just let him know the sound you’re hearing in your head – and he’ll make it happen in the studio… unless you’re hearing really, really bad sounds in your head…  illegal stuff…  that’s the only thing he won’t do… probably.
